This episode is dedicated entirely to eggun. It covers what they are, how to make an altar for them, and covers the topic of opa-iku (eggun staff) and eggun stones.

If you’re interested in ancestor worship, then this is the episode for you!

As always, you can find it on iTunes, listen to it on my blog or you can download it directly from this page.

Upcoming Topic: Eggun

Jan 30 2010 Published by under Before My Year

It’s always interesting to see what people come to this site wanting to learn more about.

Originally, there was a lot of the typical stuff, where people wanted to learn the details of ceremonies, how to do love spells, etc. Lately, though, I’ve seen a rise in people’s interest in learning about their eggun (ancestors), how to work with them, and that sort of thing.

I’ve been working on a podcast devoted just to this, so I hope you’ll like it. I’ll probably record it tonight or tomorrow, so — with any luck — it’ll be on the site for you by Monday.

As always, if you have any suggestions for other topics you’d like to read about or hear on the podcast, leave a comment and let me know.

Episode 002: Media, Hype, and Fear — Oh, My!

In this second episode of the Year In White Podcast, I discuss the news of animal sacrifices in Philadelphia and I share a pataki about fear and one version of how Elegua was given the power to do what he wants whenever he wants.

I was a bit rushed on this one, but I still think it came out a little better than my first attempt. It’s an organic process, though, I guess. Still getting used to the recording equipment and software, too. If you like it or have any feedback to share, please leave a comment here or leave me a message privately.
